Watkins Dental Practice is a long established family dental practice with over 40 years of experience. Recently having taken on an associate dentist, Watkins Dental Practice will be servicing the community of Orange long into the future. We have been working with families across multiple generations over this time. Watkins Dental provides quality, friendly and kind family dental care with long term well trained staff that provide familiar faces.
We are a QIP –Accredited Dental Practice. Quality in Practice (QIP) is an independent and internationally recognised evaluation process used to assess the quality of care and services in a dental setting. It’s an on-going process that is regularly assessed to ensure compliance. It recognises our commitment to providing the highest standard of treatment and care as required by NSQHS (The National Safety and Quality Health Service Standards) and assures patients that our levels of infection control and sterilizing are compliant with all protocols. Watkins Dental is committed to safeguarding the privacy of patient’s information and has implemented measures to comply with Australian Privacy Principles and Health Records and Information Privacy Act 2002 (NSW).
Practice Owner / Principle Dentist - Dr David J Watkins B.D.S
Dr David Watkins graduated from University of Sydney in 1978 and spent many years working as the dentist in Parkes, Walgett and surrounding areas. David took over the practice in 1987 from Dr Meldrum.
Associate Dentist - Dr Jeffery Guo B.D.Sc
Dr Jeffery Guo joined our practice in January 2022 after graduating from Charles Sturt University in 2021. Jeffery born and raised in the Central Coast of NSW and moved to Orange in 2016, he has since married an Orange local pharmacist and has fallen in love with the community and area. In his spare time, Jeffery loves to train Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, fishing and camping as well as spending time with his family.

Jeffery is very passionate in all areas of dentistry and has a special focus in patient centred care and working with children. He loves educating the community on oral hygiene and preventive measures to keep the mouth healthy.
Hygienist - Jemima Plumridge BOH
Jemima commenced working at the practice in 2011, after she graduated from University of Newcastle and moved from Sydney to Orange. Jemima's dental career started 10 years prior to this as a dental assistant and her passion for dentistry has never waned, only gotten stronger over the years. Once arriving in Orange Jemima found her feet and is strongly cemented in the community. 7 years ago Jemima started her martial arts journey in Orange, by starting Karate and Mauy thai, but finally found her passion in Brazilian Jiu jitsu. Jemima's greatest passion in life is being a mother.
Jemima loves to make your visit to the dental surgery a personal one, and has the ability in her room for patients to choose the music that makes them feel more comfortable in their visit. So a music list is more than welcome with your visits with her.
The mouth is the gateway to the body. A healthier mouth means that it has less ability to have a negative affect on the rest of the body. Jemima takes educating patients in keeping the mouth as healthy as possible very important. Jemima offers periodontal and maintenance therapy to help maintain healthy teeth, gum and bone.
